Restoring peace and hope in Bosnia-Herzegovina

   The 1984Olympic Bobsled Run was used by the Serbs during the war as a place to snipe civilians in 
nearby Pale while remaining hidden from view.  Snipers terrorized the people killing scores in "Sniper Alley," 
a street in the Center of Sarajevo easily reached from their secure vantage points.  
      While sightseeing in this area we discovered an anti-personnel mine attached to a tree, obscured by 
brush, with a trip wire running across the trail leading to the rear of the chalet in the first photo.  It was 
obviously rigged for sightseers or anyone wandering around the old track.
